About
Jacquelyn Whiting and Michelle Luhtala discussed news literacy and how to understand the relationship between traditional news and citizen journalism. They looked at the relationship of media literacy and digital citizenship and how well students could critically interpret what they are reading. They reviewed guides for how to unpack primary sources or interpret the intention of a painting or photograph. After completing this course, you should be able to get your students to think like fact checkers in all they do; encouraging deeper research skills and strengthening their digital citizenship.Additional Resources
