As technology experts, we must embrace the notion of continuous change and support others to do the same. The strategies you use and the behaviors you model to establish yourself as a professional technology expert among a variety of digital platforms will influence how others perceive your expertise. After reviewing the resource below, complete the Reflect & Practice activity.
After Reading Evans' article, "Advocacy in Reach. Making Your Learning Community Thirsty for the Library," consider the ways in which you can cultivate a strong digital brand that positively represents your wealth of technological knowledge while also serving as a positive example for your school community. Using the template provided on page 5 of the Course Packet (found in the Resources above), perform a social media self-audit. Then, using the same template, ask a colleague to perform a social media audit of your professional brand. Do their perceptions match your own? Do their perceptions match your intent? If not, what do you need to change? What are you doing well?
