About

During times of change, when learning can flux from in-person, to virtual, to hybrid, students who need the most support are usually the most vulnerable. How can we bring new approaches and perspectives into our practice to support our at-risk readers, like English language learners? Educators need to quickly address the needs of multiple language learners, a growing population within U.S. schools, to ensure they do not fall behind during times of change.

Come listen and learn as Tracey Wong, School Library Media Specialist, details different ways to support and align teaching so English language learners are not linguistically isolated.

Join us to learn more about:

  • Creating remote learning communities that are inclusive and responsive to ELL needs
  • Hands-on activities to expand learning after reading an eBook and how to adapt these activities for diverse groups of multiple language learners
  • Approaches to creating literacy-based partnerships with families
