The American Archive of Public Broadcasting is a collection of public broadcasting television and radio broadcasts from across the country. With a growing online archive, the collection is searchable, but may be most easily accessed by viewing the Curated Exhibits or choosing to Browse the Collection where categories and formats of broadcasts are listed. Some files will be hosted on the site. Others will link to another site. Audio and video can be listened to and viewed in the browser when viewed on the site, but not downloaded.

The Civil Rights History Project is a collaboration between the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of African American History and Culture to collect oral histories concerning the Civil Rights movement. Many interviewed were involved in different organizations involved in the Civil Rights movement and speak to a variety of historic events. The site does contain primary source sets that revolve around content areas, including historical or literature events. The link focuses in on the moving picture format organized chronologically. The link can be searched by keywords. Results will be limited to moving picture files. Selecting a search result will take you to outside of DPLA to the host site.

These collections within the Library of Congress website contain film and video resources. Collections span approximately a century and a wide variety of topics. To explore a collection, select it, choose Collection Items, and then select the Film/Video format and view the individual film and video items. Film and video can be viewed within the browser and often can be downloaded. For background information on any collection, select Articles and Essays after initially selecting the collection.

The National Jukebox is a collection of recorded audio available to listen to through the browser. Formats range from vocal and instrumental music to comedy performances and political speeches and much more. The collection may best be explored by browsing the listed genres.
