The transition from face-to-face to remote learning can be challenging, especially when thinking about the materials needed for hands-on making projects. During these uncertain times, we may not have access to our makerspaces; however, we are reminded that for many of us our home is our first makerspace! In this video, Maggie Melo offers a quick and easy activity to crowdsource material ideas with students. The activity/resource is entitled "Making Grid: Cut, Attach, and Build;" it provides a shared document for the classroom to brainstorm different materials and tools that are available at home for making. You can make your own copy of the grid here (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nEWKhKfM0cOnGC_R4oplk0WLOAgwYn3eo7z6oIdYMFg/edit?).
