Teacher Licensure Needed: Yes

Master's Degree Needed: Yes

EST Praxis II Subject Assessments: Yes. Library Media Specialist Test (#5311). Score of 153 or above

Conditional School Specialist License:

  • Graduate degree from a regionally accredited college
  • Completion of a graduate level state approved program
  • 3.25 cumulative grade point average in graduate coursework
  • Regency – means the applicant must have at least eight credit hours or one year of accredited experience completed within the last six years
  • Currently valid Kansas professional teaching license (if applying for counselor, library media, reading specialist)
  • School specialist content assessment

Other Testing Needed: Yes, passing scores on the Praxis II – Principles of Learning and Teaching Description: A Master's degree in library science and current teacher licensure.
