Other Testing Needed: The Teacher Standards and Practice Commission (TSPC) has initiated a redevelopment of the tests that are needed for educator endorsements. However, applicants are required to take a Civil Rights Exam. Oregon does not administer tests directly, but contracts the services.

Evaluation Process for Licensure:
Criteria for eligible individuals:
- A 59 hour initial licensure path leads to certification as a school library media specialist, but not a classroom teacher.
OR
- Completion of a master's degree in educational media, with 29 hours in library science and 16 more in advanced educational media
OR
- Adding 29 hours at the master's level to an educational media program by an additional 29 hours at the master's level.
Reciprocity: Oregon follows the Interstate Agreement with the 50 states and the District of Columbia in the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education & Certification (NASDEC).
