Description: Wisconsin offers both an initial license and a professional license for the library media specialist, called Instructional Library Media Specialist - PK-12.

Teaching license

  • Approved library media program
  • No later than 5 years after obtaining the initial the candidate must apply for professional licensure, which requires the Masters Degree.

Reciprocity: The Wisconsin License Based on Reciprocity pathway provides for a five-year license to teach or be an administrator.
