Course
Introduction [:57]
Jacquelyn Whiting and Michelle Luhtala discuss news literacy and how to understand the relationship between traditional news and citizen journalism. They will look at the relationship of media literacy and digital citizenship and how well students can critically interpret what they are reading. Detailed guides for how to unpack primary sources or interpret the intention of a painting or photograph are provided as well. Getting your students to think like fact checkers in all they do will encourage deeper research skills and strengthen their digital citizenship.
