Envisioning change can be a powerful way to start enacting it. Read the below SLC article, "Transforming My High School Library Facility," to learn about how one librarian made significant positive changes to her library, then complete the reflection activity.

Young describes her library redesign, especially how the input she got from students influenced the process. Using the form above, write a description of your library as it exists now—the "before"—focusing on the areas you see as problematic. Then write about the "after"—even if you haven't started the process yet! What does your library look and feel like after your redesign? Use this as a guide as you work through your library facility's redesign.
